For sure, the principles of <\/span><b>self-concept<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>problem orientation <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><b>intrinsic motivation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> described by <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.quiddis.com\/en\/elearning-adults-training-six-principles-andragogy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>Andragogy <\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">are becoming increasingly important: adult students today need a <\/span><b>tailor made training<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, with <\/span><b>practical uses <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and that they can manage <\/span><b>autonomously<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, because they feel the <\/span><b>urge <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to. Therefore <\/span><b>lifelong learning <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">comes into play, meaning on one hand to have the <\/span><b>constant need to learn <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to keep up with all the changes in every area of knowledge; and on the other hand the possibility to access <\/span><b>valuable training resources <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in every moment, to meet <\/span><b>real needs <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">related to one\u2019s <\/span><b>personal and working life<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"RESOURCES_OF_THE_NEW_TRAINING_SELF-PACED_LEARNING\"><\/span><b>RESOURCES OF THE NEW TRAINING: SELF-PACED LEARNING<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We are all accustomed to <\/span><b>searching information on the Internet<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: most articles on the Web fall in the category of \u201c<\/span><b>how to<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d do something. It is also true that not everything on the net is the result of a <\/span><b>quality check <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to guarantee that it is good or, at least, <\/span><b>true<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How can a <\/span><b>company <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ensure that <\/span><b>resources <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">available to its employees are <\/span><b>controlled <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and compliant with<\/span><b> corporate policies<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">?\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One possible solution is for sure <\/span><b>to manage training first hand<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, carefully choosing <\/span><b>teachers <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and designing with them an <\/span><b>instructional program <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">based on defined needs and goals.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, we cannot forget that nowadays <\/span><b>training <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is becoming more and more <\/span><b>shattered <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and less related to \u201cofficial\u201d shared moments, deeply changing the traditional meaning of \u201c<\/span><b>lesson<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d. <\/span><b>Instructional resources<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, then, need to be placed within specific training projects, but <\/span><b>with free access<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: it is the so called <\/span><b>asynchronous training<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, accessible by users in <\/span><b>self-paced mode<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, choosing autonomously <\/span><b>time and place <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">for learning.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"RESOURCES_OF_THE_NEW_TRAINING_LIVE_LESSONS\"><\/span><b>RESOURCES OF THE NEW TRAINING: LIVE LESSONS<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Which is the <\/span><b>role<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, within this scenario, reserved for <\/span><b>synchronous training<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Without any doubt, we cannot think of eliminating the possibility to have moments of <\/span><b>synchronous face-to-face<\/b> <b>training<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, both <\/span><b>in a real classroom <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">or in an online <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.quiddis.com\/en\/webinars-effective-e-learning-content\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>video lesson<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. On the other hand, the<\/span><b> lack of time and resources <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">forces us to use these events for <\/span><b>activities that cannot be done alone<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, either for instructional or social reasons.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Live lessons <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">will be used for <\/span><b>discussions <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">on presented topics, <\/span><b>group activities <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to put learnt concepts into practice, <\/span><b>clarifications <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><b>supplementary information<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, or <\/span><b>meetings <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><b>exchange of opinions<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This <\/span><b>blended <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">organization of <\/span><b>training <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">allows to use time <\/span><b>more effectively and efficiently<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, at the same time exploiting the <\/span><b>need to be autonomous <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of <\/span><b>adults<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> who can feel <\/span><b>free<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, even within a limited and supervised set of resources.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"TOOLS_FOR_THE_NEW_NORMAL_LMS_PLATFORMS\"><\/span><b>TOOLS FOR THE NEW NORMAL: LMS PLATFORMS<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So far we have talked about <\/span><b>types of training <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in relation to different ways to access it: asynchronous or self-paced, or synchronous or face-to-face. With the spread of this new normal, though, a change is called for, both in the way of <\/span><b>thinking of training<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and most of all in the way of <\/span><b>managing <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">it: blackboards, books and PowerPoint presentations become parts of a <\/span><b>broader ecosystem <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">available to users.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In particular, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.quiddis.com\/en\/lcms-lms-difference\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>LMS platforms <\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">seem to be the best <\/span><b>tool <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to meet all the needs of these new training dynamics. They are, in fact, sort of <\/span><b>digital twins of schools<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and allow to assign <\/span><b>preset training programs <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to students, but also to leave resources and materials &#8211; including recordings of live <\/span><b>video-lessons <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; available for <\/span><b>following use<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, facilitating a free access based on contingent need.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">LMS platforms, then, allow to have different <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.quiddis.com\/en\/admin-teacher-and-student-roles-and-functionalities-in-lms-platforms\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>roles and responsibilities<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which again helps to <\/span><b>optimize <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">everyone\u2019s resources, especially <\/span><b>teachers\u2019<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. They can, in fact, manage their classes, and also <\/span><b>stay in touch with students <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">even after the end of the official program, <\/span><b>extending <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the training time according to <\/span><b>lifelong learning <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">principles. Teachers turn from holders of knowledge, to be passed to students within defined moments, to <\/span><b>facilitators <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">who help to build a set of <\/span><b>competencies and resources <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">for <\/span><b>training in the long run<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Do you want to know more about <\/span><b>the role of the teacher <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in this new normal of training?
